Shimmer and Mini-Love you

I haven't been able to write about this since Jessie. It still hurts so much.
But 2 weeks after Jessie , I had to take My F1 bengal, Shimmer and Shine to the vet. She was a little older than Jessie. She had always had a URI, she had been treated For many times. Anyway, we came home Xmas night and she had a large bunch on the side of her neck. I knew I had to wait until the vets came home from Xmas vacation. they all go out of state to their homes. I made the appointment that day, and when i got up in the morning i noticed the lump had gone way down. That really wasn't good because i knew whatever it was had to go somewhere? so, I put her in the carrier and went to the vets. On the way she jumped up, turned around and layed down. she was gone. just that quick. so i turned around and came back home with her. I'm very upset, but that had to have been a quick infection that spread through her body. So Shimmer is here with Jessie now. This has never happened to me or any of my pets before. Shimmer is at the bridge now, and Her URI will be gone forever, She will be free. Bless you My shimmer girl.

We rescued a doxie a long time ago. It turned out to be my husbands dog. But we both loved her. she was a minnie Doxie we named Mini she was so tiny.. she has had a problem since we brought her home. she would vomit her food up once in a while. We've had her to vets twice and tried different things. nothing really worked. She was such a sweet little girl. she loved everyone and went everywhere with us. Slept with us under the covers, because you know doxies like to burrow. We love her very much. anyway, the vomiting got a lot worse so she had a endoscopy done today to see what the problem was. Anyway, the vet found out the esophagus was so small that at this time no food would go through and it was all pressing on her heart. she was actually starving . We had no idea. I don't know her background, because she was a rescue. but i wonder about puppy mills, or big breeders. and the tech said she could have been born this way. the vet said he got out of her about a weeks worth of food. i have been feeding her special too , all canned food . There was nothing he could do, so he put her down right then, while she was still under. She was such a happy loving little girl. this is just terrible. My husband was home sick today, so he knew when the vet called. He is so devastated, and heartbroken. He knows we did the right thing, but it's a hard thing to do. tonight will be very bad when we go to bed without her. We have one Doxie rescue left, an older male that he loves ,so that will help a little.
I guess this year hasen't started out so good after all. but hopefully, this will be all.

Oh, Trudy, I am so sorry you lost both Shimmer and Mini so abruptly, and so soon after losing Jessie.

What a shock.

What a difficult time this has been for you! I am so sorry that you lost Shimmer and Mini so soon after Jessie.

My childhood doggie was a Doxie, so I know what sweethearts they can be.

Trudy, I am so, so sad for you & your DH. I can only begin to imagine how hard this is for you. All your angels are watching you from the bridge right now, enveloping you in their love & light and thanks for the love & care you gave them - and all shared.

How very sad for you to lose two more beloved pets so soon after Jesse, Trudy. I'm sure it will continue to be very hard for you for a long time, but I hope eventually the good memories of time with them will outweigh the bad. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Oh, gosh, Trudy. How awful for your whole family to lose so many in such a short time. I so hope things turn around for you and your babies. I don't know how many you have left but I hope they can comfort you, dh and each other.
