August,
Do you mean that Fhizzy scratched around on what was ALREADY PEED, OR, did Fhizzy scratch because Fhizzy had peed!!  I don't think that you can always feel wet on their rears after urinating.  I have picked up my Higgs after I have seen him pee or spray, and t here is nothing wet or even moist on his rear.  I am suspicious of Fhizzy.

There  may have been a lingering smell of urine which made F think that was an appropriate spot to pee.   Maybe you should not be blaming Chami for all the peeing.  it has been my experience that once one does it, others tend to eventually follow the example.

I have a curtain problem.  Even though i keep my bedroom closed off with a metal screen, sometimes it gets left open a crack and someone sneaks in.  For some reason someone likes to go up on the windowsill look out, and then pee horizontally on the curtain!  I wind up lying in bed smelling this smell, and wondering where in the world it is coming from.  Eventually, when I can't stand it, I get up to look and there is the stain on the curtain, so I have to take it down, and put  it in the washer.   I have one in the washer as I type this.  I don't know what the attraction is with this curtain, different curtains don't make a difference.
I have always washed my down comforter myself.  Once I put it in a big laundramat, came out fine.
