Carol, I think what Lorie just wrote is so true and I can't express anything beyond that.  I am deeply saddened and send prayers to you and Mike to help in your grieving.   Natasha and Kitt'n waiting in heaven to show him around.

UPDATE FROM CAROL:

I received this e:mail from Carol so am sharing the update.  I know its good that dear Harry isnt suffering anymore but its still so darn heartbreaking.  He was only 2 years old. 
From Carol:

We are back. Dr Serra came to the truck---rightnow Mike is with Harry in the truck--I will call you when I can talk--If you are on itchmo you can tell everyone he went very peacefully in his place on the back seat of the truck.  And the vet said without a doubt it was time."

Carol, I am so very sorry for your loss.  Very good to know he went peacefully in a place he felt comfortable.  No more pain.  He is free.  He was very young but had the best possible life with the best possible parents.

My thoughts are with you and your husband and Lucy at this time.

LeslieK, I know she knows you all are, she has gotten alot of support and help from lots of people here, it has really helped her thru the last few days, weeks and months just being able to come here and spend time with her Itchmo pals.

Mgt, what a sweet and wonderful poem. It brought tears just reading it. It reminded me of when we had to put down our sweet yellow lab. She was our baby.
