Note that Peg has recently passed the "magic" 500 posts figure...there is bound to be a new animal in her life soon, thanks to Itchmo.

wife and I never intended to become rescue people, forever homes, but it just sort of happened. I still have the 4th of march for the new puppy

They'll get over it.    When Mollie looks into your DH's eyes with her little brown ones, all full of love and awe over her new wonderful papa, he will melt.  Those eyes!  Daisy uses them on me all the time. 

And I am sure, your cats could use a little stress in their lives.  Keep them on their toes and their hearts healthy.
