I sing to my kitties too. There's a song for grooming. Another for medicine. A lullaby for lap-nap-cozy-up and so on... Singing to them seems to transmit a degree of reassurance and calm. I sang to Kaffe a lot and it used to calm and relax him...

When we first brought Fizzy home from the shelter (she was a lost and found kitty), I would lay on the floor and sing Somewhere Over the Rainbow and the B I N G O song to her. She would respond by moving over to bite my feet! I still sing to her, but keep my feet protected

Guess I won't be auditioning for the cats version of American Idol.

Singing for your kitty is such an intimate thing. Truly bonding. I know Thunder knows your love for her.

Each day we have with our furry ones is a gift from god. So glad Thunder is still eating and snoozing. I know what it's like to be short slept or very little too. But they are all so worth any of our small inconveniences.

I will be with you in spirit on this hardest and saddest of all journeys, NedF and Thunder. You must be strong and calm for her. And my prayer is that Thunder will ease "into that gentle goodnight" to awake into bright sunshine on the other side, greeted by all our Angel Itchmo furkids.
