I love the island cakes ! And the details on the flowers on the last one are incredible  :)

Oh wow, that's amazing, alek! Is that on the same principle as the "raindrop" cakes I keep seeing pictures of around? It's so cool.

NedF

Those are amazing! I've never seen anything like them!

Koi pond! Love how the rocks turned out and the subtle coloring of the flowers.

One appropriate for my current sleep deprived state:

And of course appropriate Xmas-y cake:

And spinach crepes filled with salmon and goat cheese which I messed up since I burnt my finger when making snowflakes, ouch. I hope you never need it but chinese medicine Ching Wan Hung burns ointment is a miracle, I have a monster blister at the moment but zero pain.

The cakes are beautiful & the crepes sound delicious ! Sugar burns are the worst  :( Hope it heals quickly  :)

Oooo the snowflakes are beautiful! Sorry 'bout the sugar burn tho, ouch.

The alarm cake looks delicious. Coffee flavored? That rose is really gorgeous.

NedF

I really like the alarm cake. It looks like a cup of coffee!  :D

Once again Alek0, you have created masterpieces.  It's always so great to see what you've been up to.  :)

Of course it is coffee flavoured :) Coffee +Bailey's :)

Concerning the burn, not sure if you can get Ching Wan Hung over there, but that stuff is a real lifesaver for burns. Pain relief is amazingly quick, and although I couldn't avoid monster blister due to deep burn (isomalt stuck on the finger, since I accidentally touched the isomalt poured in one mild when I was pouring it in the other, had to put down the pot, peel of the stuff stuck to the finger and then put it under cold water while yelling for my husband to find CWH burns ointment). Next time when I am working with isomalt I'll be smarter and wear gloves and have that stuff on the counter. The blister has finally popped yesterday, healing well.

Ugh, I remember getting burned while making candy as a kid. I still have the scar!
