Thank you shadowmice for the updates on Scrapper and Trista.

I am so happy to hear that both are still holding their own.   :D

Good to hear that Scrapper and Trista are doing well, shadowmice. :)

Thanks for letting us know how they are doing. Glad they are on an even keel and may they stay that way too.

Thank you so much for your interest and concern for my furry family. This is such a compassionate and supportive group here.

Oh, hey! Just caught this. I'm so glad you have good news. and hope it continues well into the future.
My little babies, you'll always be in my heart. Mom will see you later. Look after each other, ok?

I realize it has been a long time since I posted about Scrapper; he has been pretty good over the summer but now he has to go the vet's for a checkup tomorrow (Wed). He has to be checked out before he can get another renewal of his medicines plus I also need to check out whether he might have anything that could be causing him pain occasionally when I pick him up. I'm hoping it's just a simple grumpy meow but I suspect it's because something hurts him a little when I pick him up. I've tried checking his abdomen to see if it is painful and it doesn't seem like that bothers him. His appetite is good, things seem to be running fine, it just the grumbly protest when I pick him up. Any postive energy you can send our way for a good checkup would be appreciated.

From our home to you and Scrapper, shadowmice...........tons of positive energy coming for Scrapper as he heads to his vet appointment tomorrow.

I am glad that his summer was a good one. :D

My Edgar was sometimes grumpy when I picked him up.  The vet took an abdominal x-ray on him for something unrelated and we discovered major arthritis at the base of his neck.  Now I know to pick him up slowly and support his upper body more, before I pick him up.  Ed is on Trixsyn now for the arthritis.

I hope that Scrapper has nothing wrong but maybe the cooler weather is bringing out some aches and pains......I have tons of aches and pains.........LOL

All best wishes for a good vet visit for dear Scrapper. :-*

How old is Scrapper now, Shadowmice?  What time is his appointment tomorrow?  You and Scrapper are most definately in my thoughts and prayers.  Please let us know as soon as you can, how the appointment goes and what the vet says.  I will anxiously be waiting for an update here.  How does Scrapper handle vet visits?

shadowmice

Thank you mainecoonpeg and Sandi.

I'm wondering if it might be something like arthritis. Scrapper is around eleven going on twelve. The vets believe his problems so far have been caused by a brain tumor. I guess I fear that if there is one tumor, there could be more.

Scrapper and vet visits - ah yes. Let's just say he has a reputation for living up to his name while there. In the past they have had to sedate him to be able to draw blood. I hoping that won't have to be the case this time; he is not as physically strong as he was in the past although I'm sure he'll be no less displeased about the visit.

It's a morning visit so I better hurry up and hit the hay. I'll post as soon as I can once we are through.

Well I hope he cooperates enough to get the blood draw and then he can take a bite once their done!  Scrapper, be a good boy so you can just get in and out and get it over with. Best wishes for an easy, uneventful vet visit and that whatever is going on with him is easily treatable.

Lots of positive thoughts and good vibes for Scrapper's vet visit.  Let us know how he does.

Sending more positive thoughts from here, too.  I hope the vet visit goes smoothly.

Sending soothing and positive thoughts your way, shadowmice.  My Bella cat also has quite a reputation at the vet's for her attitude.  They sedated her to give her shots, and she still let the staff know she was unhappy with them.

Thanks for the update, shadowmice.  Sending all the best thoughts to you and Scrapper for the vet visit today.
