So glad to hear Sock's eye is not painful or infected and that she is eating.  :)

I'm thinking of you and Socks.  We are here if you need us.

Thank you Fizzy.  I was going to post  yesterday but the forum was down.  Socks stopped eating again and she didn't want to be force fed the other day so I didn't push it for a day.  Last night I saw her sewn shut eye was oozing something pinkish so we ended up in the ER again.  I didn't want to go but they talked me into going.  The vet thought the eye might be infected again and wanted to start an antibiotic but I declined and asked them to give her a cyprohedine pill which they did.  When we got home she ate about 1 1/2 ounces of wet food and some kibble.  This morning only a nibble.

She has been going in the closet for a few days, that plus the fact that she was running away from me was why I didn't force feed for a day.  I may start again today.

I have had two contractors here in the past week and when anyone comes in she hides in the closet for days so some of the hiding could be that.  Last time someone was here she wouldn't come out ot the closet for 2 days and she peed in there. I only mention this because I don't want you all to think I am totally delusional.

Yesterday I ordered a paw print kit to be delivered overnight and I hope it comes today.  I have an appointment on Monday and it might be her last.  It will depend on what happens today and tomorrow.  Last night the vet said she didn't look bad.

This is killing me.  I cried all day yesterday at work.

Judy- Sending you both many hugs. You know her best, so if you are getting from her the feeling that she is ready go with your feelings. Hopefuuly the vet will find something causing it, but either way know you are doing your best for Socks out of love.

Judy,
I am so sorry that you and Socks are having such a tough time.  I will be praying that you make the right decision for the right reasons.  Has the vet done any lab work to see what might be going on other than the problem with her eye?
