I used to think that anyone doing anything weird was weird. I suddenly realized that anyone doing anything weird wasn't weird at all and it was the people saying they were weird that were weird.

Oh God.  I hope this person isn't trying to have children.  Bad enough she has a dog.  Poor Molly.  I am so glad Mary called you though.  She needs so serious help...training her dog.  The kind of help she needs, which involves a size 12 straight jacket in her preferred color, requires a professional.

Actually, I have some good news.

She does have a child Bridgett.......kid turned 12 in Dec.  Beautiful girl...........horribly spoiled.........screams constantly with the mother and father.  Can hear them all from across the street WITH the doors and the windows closed...............sigh

Molly is doing very well.  Very, very smart little girl.  I am exhausted, however.  Basic training is there and the owner has been told to reinforce that constantly without the use of treats and all is going well.

The only issue is that Molly needs the rest of her vaccines, especially rabies.......it's here in NY.

I can't get the owner, who I'm not really sure is my friend anymore......seems like a working relationship and maybe I should be paid??  LOLOLOL  ;)to understand the need for a certain amount of confinement outdoors until Molly has been fully vaccinated.  I reminded her of how she was constantly to the pediatrician with her daughter as a baby.  Her comment was, "It's almost the same."  My comment was, "It IS the same you nimrod!!!!!"

Mary sounds just as immature as her daughter.  Except her daughter IS immature.

Actually, I didn't know puppies needed to be isolated until their vaccinations were finished until I adopted Daisy.  Of course, once I found out I didn't argue with it. I wanted my poopley to stay healthy.  We have rabies here too.  And I was also suprised at how much work puppies were, but never once regreted getting her or got mad at her.  She was a baby dog for goodness sake.

Was Mary expecting Molly to magically turn into a well-behaved, house trained do without any effort on her part?  ARG!!!!!

I met a little, sweet, sweet wire-haired Doxie this weekend.  I thought of precious Molly, trying so hard to be a good girl.

We live with five doxies, yes, be patient, do not yell, this is a breed that can become submissive urinators.

I have one that loves the snow, the other four so so.

Daisy kind of does that too.  She gets excited and loses control!  She is an excited piddler.

Thank you anconna for that information.    :D
I shall pass it along and file it in the back of my mind   ;)

Molly update........

She is now sleeping through the night and that is making her entire household much less cranky.

She also does not like going out in the rain.......coupled with gale force winds, I can't blame her.

We are now working on indoor paper training as an alternative to outdoor "business".  She is such a smart little girl; the Idiot actually commented on that today.  "Molly seems smarter than me!!"  "You got that right", said I..............hee hee hee hee.......ain't I a stinker? (Quoting my hero..... Bugs Bunny)

Wow, that is fast progress!  Who can blame her about the weather?!  I don't like going out in it either.  Paper training isn't a bad alternative.  Daisy used a pad when she was little too.  As she got older and her bladder got bigger she learned to go outside.

It does sound like the Idiot is starting to appreciate what being a puppy mom entails. Starting....

hmmmm.... I hope the paper training works out.  Personally, I've never had luck with that. Mixed signals.  Dog doesn't know where you want it to do its business.  We paper trained Tess when she was a puppy (my back yard was all ice and temperatures were freezing, below freezing with windchill).  Took us a long time to get her to go outside to relieve herself after that...I mean, months.
Eventually they will understand,
Replied the glorious cat
For I will whisper into their hearts
That I am always with them
I just am....forever and ever and ever.

JustMe,That's what I thought too  :-\

Seems the Idiot doesn't like going out in the rain, hence the desire to paper train the puppy.
Forgive me, but this from a woman whose kid was 5!!!!!, before she was toilet trained.

Bridgett, I did buy pads......this puppy is costing me a fortune.....that have a grass smell to them.
The Idiot claims she'd rather use just newspaper, "cause the paper gets delivered"????????......help me..........

I think I got her to understand that too much in a short period of time might actually confuse Molly, making her potentially less smart than her owner, and I wouldn't want that to happen ;)

Peg- I still say it would be cheaper & easier on you if you just take the puppy yourself. At least you won't have to keep going over to the idiots house ! ;D
