Someone just pointed this out to me. The ingredients look good. I was reminded that some people have had issues with this brand in the past. Does anyone have experience with this new variety?

Mine eat the Chicken or the Turkey as the alternate to Wellness Core.
(They also like the 95% By Nature far better than the EVO 95%.)

I haven't found the hulls that were a problem in earlier By Nature reports.

They express disdain for all of these equally, but eat them with intermittent glares at the person who fed it to them  :-[ All I can say is it's not my fault Nestle changed the FF/Friskies- which they totally refuse now.

my cat started turning her nose up at wellness canned, and the merricks.. i have been feeding her by natures turkey canned brand for the last 2 months, no problems so far.. :)

I'm late in replying to this, but just found these cans. Trying as an alternative to EVO 95% since they got bought by P&G.  Will post how my 4 do.

I just started using this brand.  Now my oldest is turning his nose up at Hills Science Diet.  Since he is the reason for wet food in my kitty home, he gets what he wants.

I use the beef & liver because my female is allergic to fowl.  This food is minced which means my Bucky can eat it without issue (he has bad gum disease), and I use beef broth from Swanson to water it down some because it is so dry.  It takes him a good 20 minutes to eat till he's full, but he'll keep plugging away at this food, where he walks away from others and doesn't come back.

my four will eat the turkey, chicken, and beef (haven't tried the fish cause they can't eat fish). They don't seem thrilled, but will eat it all. no problems with the food so far.

I saw this food in my local store.
Duke is a big beef fan so I am always looking for a beef flavor

The bottom of the can is stamped made in Canada.

Does this now rule out "the canner we love to hate" as canning this food?

bug

Whaddaya mean, Peg? If it's made in Canada, it has to be Menu (now Simmons). So if you mean Evanger's -- that definitely rules that out. Of course, a lot of people hate Menu, too.
My little babies, you'll always be in my heart. Mom will see you later. Look after each other, ok?

Thanks bug.
I prefer Menu to Evangers at this point.

I opened up 3 - 6.5oz cans of the 95% Beef last night at midnight.
Total 19.5 oz for 6 cats

They attacked me as I tried to put down their dishes.
There wasn't a drop in a bowl this morning.

No litter box issues right now.....hopefully never.
I plan to continue this as part of a rotation.
It truly smelled like Beef and definitely brought Frosty's wishy washy appetite out of its funk.  It was awhile before he came up for air :o

Well, I hope this is something I'll be able to try on my three. I'm running out of foods they can have because more and more of them have fish in them. Now, I just have to locate someone that carries it here. You'd figure if it was made in Canada, you could get it in Canada. Sheesh.

I fed this so much to my adults, they got sick of eating it. LOL  It's still part of my feeding scheme, but they're more interested in lamb and venison right now.  I never had much problem with it, even though Bella occasionally threw up with it.  She'd throw it up instead of having the dry heaves.  But that could have been her system clearing out the Science Diet stuff.  <.<

Fizzy tried the Chicken recently, and the Beef (the cans say Made In Canada).  She likes both of them, but I've noticed that she drinks a lot more water after eating them.  Probably too much sodium and phosphorous to be a regular food for a kidney kitty.

Howdy, bought a lot of this through petfood direct.  Cats love it and it actually smells like real food.  THEN I went looking for an as fed analysis.  Not done investigating.  Folks have been really friendly, but look at your can.  Do you see any calcium source in the chicken or turkey?  Nope, there isn't one.  That's because it comes from bones, which is not listed on the label.  Nutritionist says Ca:P is 2:1.  What?  Haven't yet emailed them for whole analysis (like EVO has on their products at the website).

This AM was set to order a whole pile of EVO, until I found out P&G bought it.  Just emailed them to ask if their ingredients OR sourcing has changed since takeover.  Nothing on their website tells me the sources won't change.  We'll see.

Luckily I make my own food and only use canned food when I forgot to defrost something or am just too pooped to do it.

Hi Buglady,

I too, like the 95% by nature meat foods, though I fed the beef because one of my kitties is allergic to fowl.  They loved it right up till i brought a can of weruva home. LOL

EVO so far seems to not have changed anything since the P&G purchase.  A lot of us here use that food and are keeping an eye on it.
