> Edgar! I've never seen a cat fill a window like that. What must he look like from the outside, a large rug?

MarkT, LMAO!!  For sure that's what he must look like from the outside view!  Too funny.  Your kitty is gorgeous!

JoMax, great timing on the yawn pic!  And what a fantastic time your cats must have roaming around in the garden.  I know that must be scary letting them roam, but there's also that pull about wanting to let them be their most natural... so hard.

> (I was so ignorant about cat dental care back then)

I don't do anything for my guys' teeth.  Do you have a thread here about your experience?

BW, the thing about the cans makes me so mad.  You might want to check this out (and there's another link in there for more details about dented cans).

ETA : Oh darn, the link inside that thread I linked above isn't working again,...but there is some good info about cans anyway..

Time for token doggie pics.  Andy loves this little kitty cup bed.  It's big enough for a bigger cat and one small cat squeezed together.  He's 65 lbs and very long, tall & lanky.  Also very flexible.  He starts out like this:

But then he starts relaxing and spreading out:

Spartycats

Andy is so funny and so adorable in his kitty bed.  :-*

tesla

That's too funny!  Talking about a tight squeeze. ;D

catbird

Andy is so cute squeezed into that kitty bed! :D  Truly amazing that a 65 lb dog could fit in there.  When he's "un-coiled" only his rear end fits!

Why do big dogs always try to squeeze into tiny beds & little dogs sprawl across big beds !? Andy looks adorable in his kitty bed though. ;)

Oh my goodness!! I just LOVE Andy!!  What a sweetheart he is, and trying to fit in that little bed, and he did it too!   Of course he did have to eventually spread out a little.  Cute as all get out.
He is a beautiful dog!  Thanks for sharing those pics.  I needed that chuckle.

My little babies, you'll always be in my heart. Mom will see you later. Look after each other, ok?

lesliek, you mean like this?   ;D  :D Dutch & Andy a few years back:

OK, cat breed question.  Rudi is a manx, but I read that manx breeders sometimes outcross, or breed other cat breeds into, their manx lines to reduce the health problems they often have.  Rudi has the strangest profile I've ever seen in a cat.  His nose and forehead are completely flat (I've put a ruler on that nose and it's perfectly straight).  There's a sharp line at the top of his eyes where his forehead bone goes off at a different angle from the nose plane.  That puff between his eyes is just hair.

Are there any cat breeds that typically have this profile?  (someone said he looks just like a rat in profile when you stroke his ears flat to his head)

catbird

ROFL with that Dutch and Andy picture, petslave!

I just compared a profile view of Cameo Manx with Rudi, and Cameo most definitely does not have the same nose as Rudi; hers is upturned.  The cats who look to me to have (possibly) straight profiles are MarkT's Bengals, but I don't know for sure.  Maybe MarkT can tell you if that is true or not.

We could have a whole discussion on cat profiles!

Petslave, I don't know about breeds, however, as far as the straight nose goes, my Barkley Peeperton had a straight nose, or shall I call it a high, straight bridge of his nose, and I thought it made him look like a puma, a mountain lion.  I always told him he was my little puma.   I thought he was handsome and very masculine looking.
My Scoutie's head was quite flat on top, I always thought it was unusually flat.'  But Scoutie had the ski slope nose, a cute little nose.

I do NOT think that Rudy looks like a rat!!  Nothing against rats, you understand. :)
I think Rudy has a very masculine profile too.

I'll try and find a profile pic of Barkley, so I can show you and you can compare it.
Of course Barkely and all the Gitmo cats were mixed breeds, so who knows where that high nose bridge came from.  I don't know if there were any wild cats on the island.
Maybe as Catbird says, it is a bengal trait. Very interesting looking, I think.

Petslave, that's a Roman nose if I've ever seen one. Rudi is part Italian!

petslave, I think several breeds have that type of profile. Our two Bengals are similar but the head is rounded in profile and also face on. The Bengal nose is almost straight, slightly concave, with no or little dip where it meets the forehead. But the Bengal forehead is rounded.

I would try putting a ruler on their noses but that would be asking for a fight!  :)  But JP did pose, reluctantly, for photos to illustrate this:
